Kakadu, Litchfield and Nitmiluk National Parks are full of amazing waterfalls like the famous Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls and gorges such as Katherine Gorge as well as wildlife and adventure. Day 1 - (Lunch, Dinner)

Waking up early you will be at your pick up location to board the comfortable all terrain vehicle to start your small group adventure with new friends. You will then make your way to the world heritage listed Kakadu National Park. It is here where you will experience seeing the ancient aboriginal rock art at Ubirr and learn the amazing history about these sacred paintings.  Following this you will climb to the lookout where you will experience the stunning views of the majestic Nardab Floodplain. Our next stop will be at the border of Kakadu and Arnhem land where we will board the Guluyumbi cruise along the East Alligator River. Travelling with a Bininj guide you will immerse yourself in the cultural importance of the East Alligator River to the regions traditional owners. Upon completion of the cruise, we jump back in the all terrain vehicle and continue the day travels directly into the heart of Arnhem Land country to experience an unforgettable afternoon of exploration at an indigenous art complex known as Mawurndaddja.  This complex is a gallery that will showcase rock art spanning from present time to thousands of years old. Here you will have a guide to explain the importance of the art as well as the methods of expressionism and the anthropological system used to date the art as you are guided through the site. Spend the afternoon exploring this historic ancient site before heading back to Kakadu and settling into this evening’s campsite.

Day 2 - (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Rising early for breakfast we then travel by 4WD to Twin Falls.  Here we experience the spectacular gorge aboard a boat shuttle that is operated by the national park, we will also walk along the boardwalk afterwards.  Here you will have time to unwind and relax on the sandy banks and soak up what is such a beautiful place in Australia before continuing on to Jim Jim Falls.

After a quick lunch break, take in the views of this natural wonder before taking a challenging walk to the base of the falls. Here you can choose to swim or relax on the beach, enjoying the spectacular scenery, before making the short drive to your overnight bush camp.

Day 3 - (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

After breakfast, head to either Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) or Gunlom Falls and cool off with a dip in the plunge pools. Stop off at the Lazy Lizard Hotel and shop at Pine Creek before heading further south after lunch. Journey for around three hours in a private vehicle to your campsite on the doorstep of Nitmiluk National Park. Once comfortable, have dinner with the group before relaxing in your tent for the night.

Day 4 - (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Spend the morning at the magnificent Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park. Perhaps take a cruise along the gorge or rent a kayak and paddle downstream. These options are seasonal and at your own expense. In the afternoon, head off to Edith Falls where you can cool down with a refreshing swim in the huge rock pools. Continue on to the edge of Litchfield National Park. Settle down for the night in a snug camp and enjoy dinner with your group.

Day 5 - (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Once you’ve had breakfast, head into Litchfield National Park. Filled with waterholes, creeks and waterfalls, it’s the perfect place to soak up the tranquillity of the tropics. Visit the gateway of Florence Falls, the popular Wangi Falls and the refreshing waters of the Buley Rockholes. Enjoy a picnic lunch, stroll through steamy rainforests and cool off with a dip in one of Litchfield's swimming holes. In the afternoon, take the two-hour drive back to Darwin where your trip ends. Enjoy an optional night out with the group if you decide to stay in Darwin for the night.

What to bring: Torch, wide brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle (1.5 litres), walking shoes/boots, toiletries, swim wear, towel, camera, comfortable and casual clothing for 3 days.

Luggage restrictions: Due to limited space on the vehicle please restrict luggage to one day pack and one soft overnight bag/backpack (maximum 10kg). Excess luggage should be stored at your Darwin accommodation.
