However, a typical day will begin with departing Launceston in the morning and making a short stop in the town of Sheffield, also known as “The Town of Murals.” Sheffield is a small and eccentric village where the history of the Cradle Mountain region is showcased in artworks across many of the buildings throughout the town.

We hit the road again and make our way to Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake with 5 hours of exploring time. You will be given the opportunity to choose from several different walks, all accommodating different levels of fitness. After admiring the views of Cradle Mountain, you will enjoy lunch with a view and observe the adorable Cradle Wombats in their natural habitat.

We make our way back to Launceston in the evening making a number of stops on the way home. If time permits, we will stop and sample various boutique products. Sampling the local ales of the Seven Sheds Brewery and the award-winning cheeses of Ashgrove is always a great way to wrap up a huge, successful day of sightseeing and admiring Cradle Mountain.
