1. Sandboarding at Jurien Bay

Sitting about 200km north of Perth, Jurien Bay provides stunning views of the coast, as well as the opportunity to explore the white sand dunes, adventure style. Jump aboard the rolling dunes with a sandboard and see what all the hype is about! This extreme sport is the Aussie alternative to snowboarding without all of the winter attire of course.

Did you know that not all sandboards have proper bindings like snowboards do? Depending on the board you may just have to strap your feet in. Whatever the case, sandboarding is a unique and fun activity that is sure to excite any true thrill seeker. 2. Abseiling in Kalbarri National Park

Abseiling. It must be a water activity right? Wrong! Abseiling is descending from a large cliff or rock nearly vertically. Modern abseiling involves using a belay which is a device used to control movement with the climbing rope. The participants are harnessed in and secure while they scale downwards, until they reach the bottom.

While this activity can be heaps of fun, it is not for the faint of heart! Kalbarri National Park is truly a sight to see. With sandstone cliffs that dive over 100 meters into the ocean below, it makes for an amazing abseiling spot. The Z- Bend Gorge overhangs the Murchison River and has many steep descents which make for the ultimate abseiling adventure! Hang on tight as you make your way down the cliff and finish along the river.

Calling all speed demons; this one is for you! Come out to Coral Bay and hop on a quad bike for the ride of a lifetime. Race against a few mates or meet other adventurers along the way!

Coral Bay is the perfect spot for adventurers of all levels with many activities ranging from glass bottom boat tours to sailing tours! But if underwater adventures aren’t really your thing, the quad bike tour is the way to go. With many options available that travel along beaches, bush trails and the scenic coastline, you really can’t go wrong.

5. Helicopter flight above Bungle Bungle

Up up and away! Hop on a helicopter flight and soar through the Bungle Bungle range, located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. These ranges are in the Purnululu National Park, “Purnululu” meaning ‘sandstone’ and are simply magnificent.

While it is possible to discover the ranges on foot, the true beauty of the Bungle Bungle range can best be seen from an aerial perspective. The Southern end of the park offers a section of the range that almost imitates a beehive strip. The Northern end comparatively has a slightly different view. Echidna Chasm still has the varying colours of the Bungle Bungle range but looks out to the Osmand range.
