Cairns to Melbourne Tour itinerary

Day 1 - Cairns

Arrive in Cairns at any time this day and check-in to your accommodation, the rest of the day is free to explore at your own leisure.

Day 2 - Cairns

Today is a free day to explore Cairns as you please. Head to Kuranda or enjoy the lagoon.

Day 3 - Great Barrier Reef

Enjoy a day of Snorkelling on various reef Sites on the Great Barrier Reef!

Day 4 - Cairns to Airlie Beach

Travel from Cairns to Airlie Beach this day

Day 5 - Whitsundays (Lunch)

Enjoy a scenic day of beaches and snorkelling on the Whitsundays! Click the other information tab to checkout the boat choices and their itineraries!

Day 6 - Airlie Beach to Rainbow Beach

Enjoy a relaxing day in Airlie Beach before boarding the overnight bus to Rainbow Beach

Day 7 – Rainbow Beach

Arrive in Rainbow Beach and check into your accommodation before spending the afternoon exploring or relaxing!

Day 8 - Fraser Island (Lunch)

Jump aboard one of our brand new purpose built “Warrior” 20 seat 4WD and experience a great value tour of World Heritage Listed Fraser Island.

Your discovery departs from Rainbow beach highlighting Teewah or Rainbow Beach coloured sands before stopping for morning tea on the beach.

Over to Fraser Island, we travel along the spectacular 75 Mile Beach to explore the natural beauty of this magnificent wilderness with a guided rainforest walk.  An authentic BBQ Lunch followed by a refreshing freshwater lake swim tops off the perfect day of discovery on the World’s Largest Sand Island!

Return through the towering forests of Satinay and Brushbox and navigate your way down the ‘sandy highway’ before returning to the Sunshine Coast

Day 9 – Rainbow Beach to Noosa

Travel to Noosa and hit the beach or explore.

Day 10 – Noosa

Explore Noosa as you please! head to the beach, Australia Zoo or Noosa National Park or the Everglades!

Day 11 – Noosa to Brisbane

Travel to Brisbane and spend the afternoon checking out the city!

Day 12 – Brisbane to Surfers Paradise

Travel to Surfers Paradise and hit the beach or head to one of the theme parks.

Day 13 – Surfers Paradise

Explore Surfers Paradise at your own leisure, go shopping or visit a theme park!

Day 14 – Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay

Travel to Byron Bay, it’s time to relax, surf or explore!

Day 15 – Byron Bay

Enjoy Byron Bay as you please! There is the possibility to have a surf lesson, go on a kayak tour to see the dolphins or visit Nimbin (extra cost)

Day 16 – Byron Bay to Sydney

Today you have the full day to relax or explore Byron Bay before hopping on an overnight bus to Sydney.

Day 17 – Sydney

Arrive in Sydney early in the morning with the rest of the day free to explore as you please! See the Botanical Gardens, Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

Day 18 – Sydney

Explore Sydney at your own leisure.

Day 19 - Sydney

Today is free to explore as you please! You could maybe head to the beaches or take a day trip to the Blue Mountains? The choice is yours.

Day 20 –  Sydney to Melbourne

Today you have a full day in Sydney before hopping on an overnight bus to Melbourne

Day 21 - Melbourne

Arrive in Melbourne at early in the morning. The rest of the day is free to explore as you please!

Day 22 - The Great Ocean Road (Lunch)

Depart Melbourne around 7:00am and enter the Great Ocean Road arriving at a beautiful coastal town for coffee, cookies and tea. Visit Loch Ard Gorge and learn the tale of the famous shipwreck, descend the Gibson Steps and have an epic view of the Apostles from sea level on the beach!

Day 23 - Melbourne

Today is a free day to explore Melbourne as you please!

Day 24 - Melbourne

Today your journey comes to an end, you can check out of the hostel and are free to travel onward anytime this day!

Ocean Rafting

Ocean Rafting offers an exhilarating thrill ride around the Whitsundays, it's fast and able to make sure you can experience as much as possible in a day trip to the Whitsundays with 25 to 32 guests onboard. One Stop Adventures will book you on the Southern lights tour but you can let us know if you would rather the northern exposure itinerary instead.

A: No, this is a combination of accommodation and separate tours that we organise for you. You need to choose how you travel between your destinations whether by bus or driving. You can then select a starting date and we’ll organise everything and send you an itinerary!

Q: Can I change anything?

A: Of course, just call or email us and we can organise a custom package in no time and set you on your adventure.

Q: Will I meet lots of people this way?
