Day 1 –

The adventure begins with your choice of transport to Kingfisher Bay Resort on K'gari (Fraser Island): whether you choose to self-drive to River Heads or get our courtesy transfer, the tour starts with your choice of ferry over to the island. After a short ferry ride, make your way to Kingfisher Bay Resort for check-in after 2 PM.

Once you're settled in, make full use of the resort facilities at your leisure! Swim in one of four lagoon pools, enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants or end the day with a cocktail at Sunset Bar.

Day 2 –

Rise and shine - the real adventure starts today! Make your way to the Sand & Wood restaurant to enjoy a delicious resort breakfast. Once you're fully fed, it's time to meet the group! Then, climb aboard the comfortable 4WD transport and get ready for the day!

The daily itinerary changes due to tides and weather conditions, but you can expect to see all these amazing attractions between the two full days of touring:

  • Visit Central Station and the rainforest boardwalk
  • Visit Pile Valley’s famous Satinay trees
  • Take a dip in Lake McKenzie – Fraser’s most photographed lake
  • Drive along the beautiful 75 Mile Beach
  • Stroll along the boardwalk at Eli Creek
  • Visit the Pinnacle Coloured Sands and learn about the local mythology
  • Snap a pic of the Maheno Shipwrecks
  • Climb Indian Head for the island's most spectacular views
  • Experience Mother Nature’s jacuzzi at the Champagne Pools
  • Trek through the dunes to emerald-green Lake Wabby

Day 3 –

On day three, you'll enjoy another yummy breakfast at McKenzie's on 75 Restaurant before meeting the group. We'll continue our exploration of K'gari (Fraser Island), stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. In the evening, we'll board the 5 PM ferry to return to the mainland.

WHAT TO BRING?

Don't forget to pack your swimmers, towel, hat, sunscreen and sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes or sandals, insect repellent, essential medication and of course a camera to capture all the action! Cold water is available on tour however it's a good idea to take your own bottle.

Don't forget money for souvenirs (an ATM is available at the resort) and drinks at the bar. The resort's Village Store sells resort wear, groceries, drinks and snacks, alcohol, sun-screen, insect repellent, batteries, film etc.
