Day 1 – Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

PICK UP: Sealink Terminal (inside Adelaide Central Bus Station, 85 Franklin St) at 6:45am. Accommodation pick ups available from selected hotels in Adelaide. 

After an early morning pick up, travel through the picture-perfect Fleurieu Peninsula, arriving at Cape Jervis to board the SeaLink ferry and make the 45 minute trip to Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island. While crossing, it is not uncommon to have an escort of local dolphins that can be viewed from the dolphin deck on the boat.

Once on the island, you’ll have an amazing opportunity to walk amongst the local sea lion population at Seal Bay Conservation Park. Enjoy a guided ranger walk to learn more about these fascinating animals as you observe them in their natural habitat on the beach.

Then it’s lunch time! Enjoy a delicious two course lunch before we head to Flinders Chase National Park. Keep an eye out for native animals including wallabies and echidnas as we make our way to Remarkable Rocks for a walk amongst these unique rock formations. Next up is Admirals Arch where you will be amazed by the natural archway and the long-nosed fur seals that call the area home.

Our final stop for day one is the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. Here you can enjoy close encounters with many of Australia’s cutest and cuddliest native animals. Finally, we’ll drop you at your chosen accommodation where you can rest up ready for another day of exploring.

Day 2 – Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

Rise and shine! Enjoy your breakfast on day two before you’re picked up and whisked away to continue your exploration of Kangaroo Island. The first stop is Raptor Domain where you will be blown away by the Birds of Prey Demonstration.

Continue to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, the only commercial eucalyptus distillery in South Australia, where we enjoy another delicious 2-course lunch. Then we visit Clifford’s Honey Farm for a fascinating guided tour before a stop at the stunning Pennington Bay. Finish off the day with a wine tasting at False Cape Wines Cellar Door before we head to Penneshaw. You’ll have time for dinner at Penneshaw Hotel before we board the ferry to return to the mainland and back to Adelaide.
