Below is an example calendar and written itinerary. However, your itinerary will depend on the availability of tours and accommodation from your start date.

Day 1 - Melbourne

Arrive in Melbourne at any time and check-in to your accommodation, the rest of your day is free to explore or relax as you please.

Day 2 - The Great Ocean Road (Lunch)

Learn the history of the great ocean road while marvelling at the coastline. You will visit Loch Ard Gorge,  see the famous 12 Apostles and more on this great day tour.

Day 3 - Melbourne

Today is free to explore Melbourne as you please - check out the graffiti laneways, Queen Victoria Market, the Eureka Skydeck, St Kilda and more!

Day 4 - Melbourne to Sydney

Today you have a full day in Melbourne before hopping on an overnight bus to Sydney.

Day 5 - Sydney

Arrive in Sydney early in the morning with the rest of the day free to explore as you please! See the Botanical Gardens, Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

Day 6 - Sydney

Today is free to explore Sydney at your leisure, head to one of the many beaches or go for a cruise on the harbour!

Day 7 - Sydney

Explore Sydney at your own leisure.

Day 8 - Sydney to Byron Bay

Today you have the full day to explore Sydney before hopping on an overnight bus to Byron Bay.

Day 9 - Byron Bay

Arrive in Byron Bay early in the morning, it's time to relax!

Day 10 - Byron Bay

Enjoy Byron Bay as you please! There is the possibility to have a surf lesson, go on a kayak tour to see the dolphins or visit Nimbin (extra cost).

Day 11 - Byron Bay

Enjoy Byron Bay as you please! There is the possibility to have a surf lesson, go on a kayak tour to see the dolphins or visit Nimbin (extra cost).

Day 12 - Byron Bay to Surfers Paradise

Travel to Surfers Paradise and hit the beach or head to one of the theme parks.

Day 13 - Surfers Paradise

Explore Surfers Paradise at your own leisure, go shopping or visit a theme park!

Day 14 - Surfers Paradise to Brisbane

Travel to Brisbane and spend the afternoon checking out the city!

Day 15 - Brisbane to Noosa

Travel to Noosa and hit the beach or explore.

Day 16 - Noosa

Explore Noosa as you please - head to the beach, Australia Zoo or Noosa National park or the Everglades!

Day 17 - Noosa to Rainbow Beach

Travel to Rainbow Beach and check into your accommodation, you have a safety briefing at 4:00pm for your Fraser Island Tour.

Day 18 - Fraser Island (Lunch, Dinner)

Today you begin your Fraser Island tour! The morning of departure is a pretty hectic time, with excitement everywhere, we will again split you up into your groups and ask you to work together in checking off all your food to make sure it is all there before you go. You will pack your food into the eskies, alcohol into cool boxes, do a full vehicle inspection including checking all camping and cooking equipment is provided and then do a full driver briefing outlining the most important aspects of driving on soft sand and how to use the gears. Then it’s off you go!!

Day 19- Fraser Island (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Due to tide times and changing conditions, the itinerary of the tour will forever change in terms of where you go, on what days but know that the experience of the lead driver will ensure you get to see the most important and beautiful sights on Fraser Island. Some of these should include Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Champagne Pool, Indian Head and The Maheno Shipwreck to name but a few. You will only set up camp the one time and travel back to this area every evening so you can sit down, relax with a drink and cook your evening meals without the hassles of having to relocate every time.

Day 20 - Return to Rainbow Beach (Breakfast, Lunch)

Due to tide times and changing conditions, the itinerary of the tour will forever change in terms of where you go, on what days but know that the experience of the lead driver will ensure you get to see the most important and beautiful sights on Fraser Island. Some of these should include Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Champagne Pool, Indian Head and The Maheno Shipwreck to name but a few. You will only set up camp the one time and travel back to this area every evening so you can sit down, relax with a drink and cook your evening meals without the hassles of having to relocate every time.

On the third and final day, you will arrive back into Rainbow Beach approximately around 4:00pm (depending on tides).

Day 21 - Rainbow Beach to Airlie Beach

Enjoy the day relaxing in Rainbow Beach before hopping on the overnight bus to Airlie Beach.

Day 22 - Airlie Beach

Arrive in Airlie Beach early and check-in for Whitsundays tour.

Day 23 - The Whitsundays (Dinner)

Begin 2 days 2 nights Whitsundays sailing tour. Click the 'Whitsunday Boat Options' tab to check out the boats and their itineraries'

Day 24 - The Whitsundays (Breakfast, Lunch Dinner)

Whitsundays sailing!

Day 25- Return to Airlie Beach (Breakfast)

Return to Airlie Beach this day and celebrate being back on land.

Day 26 - Airlie Beach to Cairns

Take a bus from Airlie Beach to Cairns today.

Day 27 - The Great Barrier Reef (Lunch)

Day cruise on the Great Barrier Reef with snorkelling and lunch included.

Day 28 - Cairns 

Today is free to explore Cairns as you please.

Day 29 - Cairns 

Today is free to explore Cairns as you please.

Day 30 - Cairns

Your journey is complete, you are free to check out of your hostel and travel onward anytime this day.
