Travel Day: Brisbane (via the Gold Coast) — Byron Bay
MEET: outside Base Central or Bunk Backpackers (please confirm).
We travel in our own Stray bus through Brisbane and Gold Coast, with pick-ups and drop offs. We stop for a walk at the Queensland/NSW border crossing at Danger Point to stretch our legs, and check out the view of one of Australia’s best surf spots Snapper Rock, before heading onto our night stop at Australia’s coolest surf town, Byron Bay.

Explore, learn to surf, party or relax and take in the laid back, hippy vibe. We recommend taking a walk to the lighthouse to view the Australian mainland’s most easterly point.

Travel Day: Byron Bay (via Spot X) – Sydney
MEET: at the main bus stop on Jonson St or Arts Factory hostel (please confirm).
We travel to Sydney via Spot X Surf Camp. Hop off if you want to learn to surf or just hang by the beach. We then express down to Sydney getting in early evening with drop offs to selected Sydney central hostels.
SLEEP: Your choice of Sydney accommodation*.
We drop off outside Wake Up (by Central Station) and Nomads.

*NOTE:  Usually a dorm bed will cost between $24 – $45 per person depending on the size of the dorm and time of year (averaging $32 per person per night), a twin/double option will range from $75 – $180 (averaging $100 per room). You are welcome to stay where you like, however please be aware of the set Loka departure points as outlined by the meeting place on the travel days.   • Luggage is limited to one piece per person with a maximum weight of 20kg plus a day pack.
  • A basic level of fitness is required for medium length walks.
  • All accommodation rooms are twin/double share (unless you purchase a solo upgrade) and include a private ensuite or bathroom with the exception of your accommodation at Darlington Beach Holiday Park (Coffs Harbour) where you stay in villas with bathrooms that are shared between up to 4 people.
  • 4 meals are included. We make regular supermarket stops so you can self-cater for other meals, or there are usually quite a few cafe/restaurant options in each location.
