Cairns
Before you depart from Cairns, there is a lot you should explore!

Cairns is one of your best opportunities to go snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef. You can spend the day on the water or check out one of the nearby islands such as Green Island or Fitzroy Island.

When you’re not exploring the reefs, take a journey inland and visit the tropical paradise located just outside of the city. Visit the Daintree Rainforest and Atherton Tablelands for rainforest hikes, natural swimming holes, and unparalleled scenery!

Airlie Beach
Airlie Beach is another gorgeous seaside town with close access to the Great Barrier Reef. Here, you can enjoy some time exploring the magical Whitsunday Islands. Spend anywhere from one day to a few days living aboard a boat and snorkelling to your heart’s content!

Rainbow Beach
Rainbow Beach is one of the main launching points for a trip to K’gari (Fraser Island). Once you’ve arrived on K’gari, you can jump on a 4WD and drive across the sandy beaches! Some of the highlights on the island are rainforest hikes, dingos, and the Maheno Shipwreck.

Noosa

Brisbane
Brisbane is a scenic coastal city with plenty to see. Spend time hopping between restaurants and shops or relaxing on the beach.

Surfers Paradise
As its name suggests, Surfers Paradise is a great place to go to try surfing. Take a surfing class to learn the basics or hire surf gear if you already have experience. When you’re not in the water, visit the theme park or soak up the sun on the beach.
