Jumping from an aeroplane 15,000ft high in the sky, bungy jumping off the Australia’s highest bungy tower and white water rafting down the mighty Tully River. The adrenaline does not stop there, you will have the chance to live a unique experience of indoor skydiving!

This adventure will also bring you sailing on the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays as well as four wheel driving on the famous Fraser Island and becoming a biker in 1770!

After a surf lesson in Byron Bay, your journey will end with a city tour of Sydney Harbour with style on a jet boat.

Below is an example calendar and written itinerary. However, your itinerary will depend on the availability of tours and accommodation from your start date.

Cairns to Sydney East Coast Australia Itinerary

Day 1 – Cairns

Arrive in Cairns and check-in to your accommodation, the rest of the day is yours to relax and explore.

Day 2 – The Great Barrier Reef (Lunch)

Enjoy a magnificent day cruise on the Great Barrier Reef with snorkelling, introductory dive and lunch included.

Day 3 – Tully White Water Rafting (Lunch)

Wake up early to be picked up at your accommodation and experience a full day of white water rafting on the Tully River!

Day 4- Bungy and Skydive

Yes, that is correct, you will Bungy jump off a 50-metre tower and skydive 15,000ft in the same day! Pickup and drop off to your accommodation included.

Day 5 – Cairns to Magnetic island (Dinner)

Travel to Townsville and catch the ferry to Magnetic Island. Your stay includes the return ferry, 2 nights accommodation, 1 breakfast, 1 dinner, 1 complimentary drink.

Day 6 – Magnetic Island (Breakfast)

Second day on Magnetic Island. You can relax, hire a topless convertible car or visit the Koalas Sanctuary.

Day 7 – Magnetic Island to Airlie Beach

Catch the Ferry from Magnetic Island to Townsville and travel to Airlie Beach!

Day 8 – The Whitsundays (Lunch)

Do an early check-in for your Whitsunday tour. Begin 2 days 2 nights Whitsundays sailing around the magnificent 74 tropical islands!

Day 9 – The Whitsundays (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) 

Continue exploring the Whitsundays!

Day 10 – Return to Airlie Beach (Breakfast)

Arrive back to Airlie Beach and celebrate being back on dry land!

Day 11 – Airlie Beach to Agnes Water/1770

Relax in Airlie Beach for the day before hopping on the overnight bus to 1770/Agnes Water

Day 12 – Agnes water/1770

Arrive in 1770-Agnes Water relax on the beach or go exploring

Day 13 – Motorbike Tour with Scooteroo 

Check-in at Southern Cross Backpackers to start your quick training before to get on your bike. Hit the country roads around Agnes Water and see kangaroos in the wild. Watch the start of the sunset and cruise back to enjoy a fun night with newfound friends!

Day 14 – Agnes Water/1770 to Rainbow Beach

Make your way to Rainbow Beach.

Day 15 – Rainbow Beach

Spend the day to explore the town and its beautiful beach. You will need to be back at your accommodation for a safety briefing at 4:00pm regarding your Fraser Island tour.

Day 16 – Fraser Island (Lunch, Dinner)

Today you begin your Fraser Island tour! The morning of departure is a pretty hectic time, with excitement everywhere, we will again split you up into your groups and ask you to work together in checking off all your food to make sure it is all there before you go. You will pack your food into the eskies, alcohol into cool boxes, do a full vehicle inspection including checking all camping and cooking equipment is provided and then do a full driver briefing outlining the most important aspects of driving on soft sand and how to use the gears. Then it’s off you go!!

Day 17 – Fraser Island (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Due to tide times and changing conditions, the itinerary of the tour will forever change in terms of where you go, on what days but know that the experience of the lead driver will ensure you get to see the most important and beautiful sights on Fraser Island. Some of these should include Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Champagne Pool, Indian Head and The Maheno Shipwreck to name but a few. You will only set up camp the one time and travel back to this area every evening so you can sit down, relax with a drink and cook your evening meals without the hassles of having to relocate every time.

Day 18 – Return to Rainbow Beach

Due to tide times and changing conditions, the itinerary of the tour will forever change in terms of where you go, on what days but know that the experience of the lead driver will ensure you get to see the most important and beautiful sights on Fraser Island. Some of these should include Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Champagne Pool, Indian Head and The Maheno Shipwreck to name but a few. You will only set up camp the one time and travel back to this area every evening so you can sit down, relax with a drink and cook your evening meals without the hassles of having to relocate every time.

On the third and final day, you will arrive back into Rainbow Beach approximately around 4:00pm (depending on tides).

Day 19 – Rainbow Beach to Brisbane

Travel from Rainbow Beach to Brisbane – the afternoon is yours to relax or explore!

Day 20 – Brisbane to Gold Coast (Surfer Paradise)

Travel to the Gold Coast and spend the day to explore this city.

Day 21 – Gold Coast (Surfer Paradise) – IFLY Indoor Skydiving

Today you will experience the mind blowing indoor skydiving!!  No parachute or plane needed, you will walk into the giant glass wind tunnel and let the wind soar you effortlessly into the air. It is an experience you will never forget!

Day 22 – Gold Coast (Surfer Paradise) – Byron Bay

Travel from Byron Bay to Gold Coast the afternoon is yours to relax or explore!

Day 23 – Byron Bay – Surf lesson

Today you will familiarise with the local sport: SURF! You will have a group lesson with an instructor giving you the best tips to become a good surfer.

Day 24- Byron Bay to Sydney

It is your last day in Byron Bay, if you haven’t done to scenic walk on the beach toward the lighthouse, you still have time. You will catch a late night bus to Sydney

Day 25 – Sydney 

Arrive in Sydney and explore the city and its beaches.

Day 26 – Sydney – Jet Boating

Discover the Sydney Harbour with high adrenaline on a 30 minutes jet boat! You will see the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, the Tongarra Zoo while spinning on the jet boat.

Day 27: Sydney

Today your journey has come to an end, check out of the hostel and you are free to travel onward at any time this day.

A: No, this is a combination of accommodation and separate tours that we organise for you. You need to choose how you travel between your destinations whether by bus or driving. You can then select a starting date and we’ll organise everything and send you an itinerary!
