Spending three nights and four days in Uluru is the perfect amount of time to explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. You can see Uluru at sunrise and sunset and even walk around it! There is also a lot to do in and around the national park.

Day one, night one

On your first day, you’ll arrive at Uluru and then there’s no time like the present to start your day! You can start the trip off by doing a guided Uluru Base Walk. This walk takes you completely around Uluru. It’s a great way to spend your first day here to learn all about the rock and the history surrounding it. Then to finish your first day in Uluru, watch the sunset overlooking Uluru. You can also enjoy some food and a drink at sunset. The view of watching the sunset is remarkable!

Day two, night two

There is no better way to start your morning than waking up early in the morning to watch the sunrise in Uluru! Since you’re up early you can head to Kata Tjuta, also known as Mount Olga or The Olgas.

Doing a guided walk is a great way to learn about the area and the local Anangu people. There are many different lengths of walks for all types of people. A popular and long walk is the Valley of the Winds Walk. You’ll walk through the domes, and the creeks and you might spot some bush tucker.

It’s highly recommended to also visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. At the Culture Centre, you learn more about the Anangu culture and the park’s natural environment. It’s good to spend about two hours at the Culture Centre. You can also finish the day off by exploring the area with a camel ride.

Day three, night three

Spend your third day doing a guided hike through Kings Canyon and the Lost City. The hike is about three hours long but there are beautiful things to see along the way. You’ll see many amphitheatres, the north and south walls, and the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden is beautiful to see in the middle of the red desert in King Canyon. There is a waterhole, greenery and stunning rock formations surrounding the area. Spend your final night watching the sunset over Mount Conner. You can also do a helicopter tour before sunset in the afternoon.

Day four

On your last day, you can get a final look at Uluru. You can have a big breakfast before heading off back home or to your next location in Australia!
