Towering over one of the most scenic wilderness areas in Australia Cradle mountain is a must-do on anyone’s trip to Tasmania. There’s lots of spectacular scenery and beautiful lookouts to visit and many walks from easy to advanced.

  • 5 hours at Cradle Mountain World Heritage Area
  • Enchanted Forest Walk
  • Dove Lake Circuit (optional: easy walking – 2 hours)
  • Waldheim and Weinforfers Forest (optional)
  • Marion’s Lookout (harder walking option 3 hours – amazing vast views)
  • Breakfast and dinner in Deloraine (meals at own expense)

We leave Hobart bright and early at 6am to get the absolute most out of this epic day exploring the beautiful Cradle Mountain and Tasmania’s Heartlands. Before we start the active part of the day, we’ll fuel up with a delicious breakfast at Deloiaine’s Mamma Buzz cafe – one of the best eateries in Tasmania. We’ll then travel on our comfy bus to the National Park. You will have 5 hours to spend here, and you can choose between short, easy or longer walks that best suit you and the day ahead.

Bring your own lunch – think muesli bar, cheese, fruit and bread – so you recharge wherever you end up!

On the way home, you’ll get to see a stunning sunset show over the mountains. Then we will continue on to Empire Hotel for a delicious dinner.

We return to Launceston around 9.00pm after a huge yet unforgettable Cradle Mountain day.
