3 Day 2 Night Fraser Island Tag Along Safari

( Departs Rainbow Beach)

Your tour starts the day before you head out to Fraser Island with a compulsory safety briefing the day prior. This gives you a chance to learn about driving on soft sand and your safety equipment. The briefing takes about approximately 1.5 hours and you’ll learn a lot. After the briefing, you’ll be allocated to a vehicle group. You’ll then get a chance to meet other travellers who will be touring with you.

The morning of departure is an exciting time. You’ll work together with your travel group to:

• Double check all your supplies
• Pack your food into the eskies
• Pack alcohol into cool boxes
• Do a full vehicle inspection
• Check all camping and cooking equipment
• Revise the driver briefing on soft sand driving and use of gears.

Then it’s off you go.

See The Best Places

Your itinerary will change according to tide times and changing weather conditions. Your experienced lead driver will ensure you get to see the very best of Fraser Island. You’ll be seeing places like Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Champagne Pool, Indian Head and The Maheno Shipwreck to name a few.

Relax at One Base Camp

You’ll only have to set up camp once on this camping trip. Every evening you’ll travel back to this area to sit down, relax with a drink and cook your evening meal.

Party Time at Rainbow Beach

On the third and final day you will arrive back into Rainbow Beach approximately around 3:30pm (depending on tides). This is a great time to enjoy a few drinks and some food with you new friends at the on-site bar and restaurant.

Whitsunday Island James Bond Cruise

Day One

All Aboard

You begin your James Bond experience when you arrive at the marina around 12:45 pm. Waiting to welcome you aboard the super sexy Powerplay will be your Skipper, Chef and Dive Instructor. After an onboard vessel briefing, you’ll head off to explore the very best the Whitsundays have to offer. At twice the speed of a sailing boat, you’ll soon arrive at stunning Mantaray Bay.

Let’s Get Wet

Here is your first opportunity to get in the water and experience for yourself what the Whitsundays are all about. Once you are all geared up in your snorkel, this incredible coral reef is there to be explored. You’ll be amazed by the huge Maori Wrasse. Maybe you’ll see a giant Groper. Many of the fish are very tame and will swim right up to check you out.

Twilight Drinks On The Deck

After a great session in the water, The Powerplay launches off towards her evening anchorage. The nightly location varies according to prevailing weather conditions. Our favourites are Cid Island or Macona Inlets. Watch the sunset over the islands. Lounge around in our heated foredeck spa. Enjoy a drink as the sun goes down.

Night Cinema

After dinner, relax and watch a digital slide show of the day’s happenings or take in a movie in the Powerplay saloon. Time to hit the sack in your huge, comfy berth for a great night’s sleep.

Day Two

Finding Nemo

The crew are up early to make you a cuppa and prepare your wonderful continental breakfast. Soon you’ll head off to the first snorkel location of the day. Meet fish just like Nemo. The stunning clown fish come right up close. Your crew will take you to several spots where these little fish hide out.

See Most Beautiful Beach In The World

After an exciting morning in and under the water, you’ll head off to visit the vast silica sands of magnificent Whitehaven Beach. This beach is rated as one of the most beautiful in the world. It will take your breath away. You can go wading through crystal clear water over brilliant fine white sand. This is a stunning place and a highlight of your cruise.

Beach Picnic & Games

Join the gang for a game of cricket, volleyball, swim, snorkel or sunbake on the world’s finest beach. Enjoy a superb picnic lunch. In the afternoon we head off to visit one of the many sensational islands fringed by the reef. Your day will be filled diving, swimming or simply relaxing and soaking up the magnificent views. At the day’s end we cruise into Nara Inlet at Hook Island for a peaceful evening.

Day Three

Ancient Cave Drawings, Waterfalls

The crew are up early to prepare breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll explore the Inlet by dinghy or take the famous walk past ancient Aboriginal cave drawings to one of Nara’s highest peaks. At the right time of year, a sparkling waterfall cascades from rock pools to the waters below. Then it’s time to visit the spectacular Langford Reef where you can play among the marine life with the playground of the rich and famous, Hayman Island right before you. On our trip back to Airlie Beach, climb up to the flybridge and enjoy the view as you cruise home from your adventure with your new friends.
