3 Day 2 Night Fraser Island Tag Along Safari (Departs Rainbow Beach or Noosa)
Your tour starts from the day before you head out to Fraser Island. There’s a compulsory safety briefing at 4.00pm the day prior. This talk gives you a comprehensive overview on safety considerations while touring the island. It includes some useful hints and tips for driving on soft sand. The valuable briefing lasts for approximately 1.5 hours. You’ll be assigned to your vehicle groups and get a have a chance to meet your travel companions.
All Supplies Double Checked
The morning of departure is an exciting time. Everyone assembles in their traveling groups. Together your group will check off all your food and supplies.
You will then:
- pack your food into the eskies
- pack alcohol into cool boxes
- do a full vehicle inspection including checking all camping and cooking equipment
- do a full driver briefing on soft sand driving
- review the use of gears in these conditions
Then it’s off you go!
Seeing The Best Places
The itinerary of the tour will change according to tides and weather. These conditions will influence where you go. Your tour leader will make sure you get to see the very best parts of Fraser Island. These will include Lake McKenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek, Champagne Pool, Indian Head and The Maheno Shipwreck.
Relax At One Base Camp
You will only set up camp once and this will be your base during your Fraser Island visit. You’ll travel back to this area every evening so you can sit down, relax with a drink and cook your evening meal.
Party With Your New Friends
On the third and final day you will arrive back at Rainbow Beach around 3.30pm (depending on tides). This is a great time to enjoy a few drinks and some food with your friends at the bar and restaurant. There is nightly entertainment with live music (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), Karaoke and party games. Keep an eye out for the happy hour special bar prices. The bar serves pints and $10 belly buster meals daily from 6-8pm.

Whitsunday Island Maxi Sailing Adventure (Departs Airlie Beach)
This is a great way to explore the islands. The tour gives you time to relax at the magificient Whitehaven Beach, walk to famous Hill Inlet Lookout and experience two snorkeling stops on the coral reefs just at the edge of the islands.
Visit Stunning Reefs
The tour will take you over 100km’s around these stunning islands. That’s 2 days and 2 nights of adventure. Your Maxi Yacht sails faster than other charter yachts. They use wind power so they are environmentally friendly. You’ll visit the famous Whitehaven Beach as well as the Northern end of the Whitsundays. This area is considered the best fringing coral reefs in the Whitsundays, especially around Hayman Island, Langford Reef and Mantaray Bay.
Sailing The Boat
On this sailing trip you can get as involved as you want to be. You can help the crew set the sails, have a turn on the wheel, and snap a couple of great sailing photo’s. The Captain and crew know a lot about the Whitsunday Islands and the Marine Park and they enjoy sharing this if you are interested in learning more. You’ll arrive back to the Marina at 11am on the 3rd day. Please note, itineraries can change due to the weather, tides and your skipper’s professional judgement.
Note: All sailing/diving activities as well as destinations are dependent on good weather and are subject to change at the skipper’s discretion. Our priority is to make sure you have a good time and being out in good weather is important.
Seasonal Produce For Our Meals
Our visitors enjoy meals based on local and seasonal produce. The meals menu changes according to what is available and great eating at different times of the year.
These packages include Seperate Trips to Fraser island and the Whitsundays as well as a nights in Airlie and Rainbow Beach before and after your trips.
The Trips can be done in whatever order and as far apart or close together as you want, it is totally flexible.
The Trips Don’t include transport between Airlie Beach and Rainbow Beach. We can help you organise transport with Loka, Premier or Greyhound.

Fraser Island Trips Depart Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Rainbow Beach
*From the 1st of April 2017 a $10 levy is required to be paid locally for Fraser island.
**To Drive on Fraser Island You Must be 21 years of age or older**
The British Defender, Condor, Boomerang, Broomstick each depart 3 times a week from Airlie Beach. If you require a specific date we will book you on the boat departing on that date. If you purchase open dated tickets we will Default to the British Defender which departs on Wednesdays Fridays and Sundays.
