DAY 1: PORT ARTHUR & TASMANIAN DEVILS

Our journey begins early as we make our way from Hobart to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Enjoy stunning coastal vistas at Pirates Bay Lookout before we continue our drive through Eaglehawk Neck and “The Dogline”. Along the way, our friendly tour guides will share with you some fascinating stories and history of the area.

Then we take an easy, yet stunningly beautiful short walk along the Waterfall Bay Clifftop. The reward at the end is stunning views of the Tasman Arch and Devils Kitchen. Next, we head to the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo to watch these awesome creatures feed, whilst getting to hand feed wallabies ourselves! Then we head to Port Arthur Historic Site to learn all about this beautiful area. Your entry includes a complimentary Harbour Cruise around the Isle of the Dead. We’ll spend some time learning about the brutal history of the Australian Penal system and this prison, while walking around the area.

Before we return to Hobart, we’ll visit the township of Richmond where you can check out the shops, grab a coffee, and walk across Australia’s oldest bridge!

Overnight: Hobart. (Accommodation at own cost)

DAY 2: HOBART TO LAUNCESTON

Join your guide as you head north via the seaside towns of Orford and Swansea to Freycinet National Park. We then begin an easy, uphill walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout where you can snap some stunning photos of the surrounding Pink Granite Mountains.  If you’re a keen hiker, you can continue the walk down to Wingelass Beach,  which takes 2 and a half hours return. Enjoy the opportunity to unwind on the beach – swim, eat your lunch and chill out on the white sands. If you prefer to select the shorter walking option, then you can explore other areas of Freycinet with our tour guide, visiting Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, and Cape Tourville Lighthouse.

After regrouping, we head to the gorgeous Devil’s Corner Winery, where you can take some time to admire the gorgeous view. Wine tasting, wood fired pizza, fresh seafood from Freycinet Marine Farm and ice creams all available at own expense on the day.

Overnight: Launceston.  (Accomodation at own cost)

DAY 3: CRADLE MOUNTAIN TO LAUNCESTON

On the final day of our adventure we embark on a scenic journey from Launceston to Cradle Mountain National Park, beginning with a stop in Sheffield, known as the Town of Murals. Marvel at over 100 paintings depicting the region’s history before continuing to the mountains!

Once in the Cradle Mountain National Park, enjoy a flexible 4-5 hours exploring its various trails. Start with the Enchanted Walk trail, then choose between the iconic 6km Dove Lake Circuit or the more challenging 4km hike to Marion’s Lookout, offering stunning views at 1200m.

Along the way, indulge in a lunch break, encounter friendly wombats, and visit Weindorfer’s Chalet. On our way back to Launceston we’ll make a stop at Van Dieman’s Land Ice Creamery and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm where you can indulge in some delicious treats!
