Explore th highlights of Tasmania’s Central Highlands on this 2 day tour!

From scenic hikes amongst some of the tallest trees in the world to wildlife spotting of wombats and platypus, this tour makes for two full days of adventure. This is a small group tour, which means you will never feel like you are travelling in a crowd.

DAY 1: Mount Fields National Park & Queenstown

Departing early in the morning from Hobart, we will head into the wilderness of Tasmania. We will pass through New Norfolk before ending up in Mount Field National Park. Here, you will be able to hike amongst the tall eucalyptus forest. Take in the height of the trees, as they are some of the tallest in the world! You will then hike to the beautiful Russel Falls. Between the activities in this national park, be sure to keep an eye out for platypus, as you may be able to spot one.

The tour will continue as we drive to Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. After taking in even more stunning scenery, we will explore Queenstown. This historic mining town is full of fascinating history and is accompanied by a mountainous backdrop. The day will end at our accommodation near Cradle Mountain.

DAY 2: Cradle Mountain National Park

The second day of adventure will begin with a drive through the temperate rainforest. We will then arrive at Cradle Mountain National Park. This mesmerising wilderness area offers lots of scenic hikes and lookout points. You can choose to hike the Dove Lake Circuit or any of the other fantastic trails. You may even be able to spot wild wombats during your hikes.

After another adventurous morning, we will continue the scenic drive back to Hobart. Weaving through the mountain ranges and wilderness, we will arrive back in the city around 5:30 pm. This is sadly where the scenic adventure comes to an end.
